We offer a variety of recreation and social activities to meet your loved one’s needs. Whether it is a weekend get together or a week - long cruise, we are there to meet your needs.
ANIBIC's Lounge Night offers young adults the opportunity to engage in activities of their choice while meeting with friends. Our Lounge Night includes arts & crafts, dancing, community events guest speakers, and games. Staff supervision for each activity encourages participation, and provides support for learning new skills.
ANIBIC's Friday Lounge Night is available to young adults, aged 17 by December 31st, who reside with parents and/or other family members, living in residences or independently in New York City. Eligibility is based on documentation of a developmental disability.
ANIBIC offers children with developmental disabilities afternoons of fun-filled activities while developing new skills and making new friends. All activities are supervised by trained educators and are conducted in small groups, encouraging each child’s full participation in the program. Activities include arts and crafts, cooking, music & art therapy, karate, swimming, gym activities, dance & movement, games, sand & water sensory room and Snoezlen Room. This program runs through June.
Our Sunday Adult Program provides members with the opportunityto make new friends, visit with old friends, and to participate in community activities as well as in-house activities. This Program runs year round. This Program is available to individuals, ages 18 and over, residing in the Queens community. Eligibility is based on documentation of a developmental disability. New members must be eligible for Medicaid Waiver services. This program runs all year long.
This program is offered to Queens residents who have a documented developmental disability. Trips include, but are not limited to, Queens Zoo, New York Aquarium, the Queens Hall of Science and neighborhood parks. Center-based activities will include arts, crafts, music, games and play-gym. All activities are supervised by trained educators and are conducted in small groups, to encourage each child's participation and to provide a framework for developing new skills and friendships. Transportation, meals and snacks are provided.
