Marie Terranova has been employed as a fitting room attendant for KOHL’S Department Store since 2006. Ms. Terranova is responsible for directing or escorting customers to fitting rooms and marking or ticketing the merchandise. Projecting a friendly and pleasant demeanor to the public, Marie knows she has mastered the skills required for the job.
There is no doubt that Marie’s performance has had a positive impact on KOHL’s business. Commended for being a dedicated and hard-working employee, who greets customers enthusiastically, Marie provides high quality customer service often missing in today’s retail businesses. She has great pride in her work and her employment at the store has helped to enhance business.

In spite of physical limitations, Marie was given an opportunity by KOHL’S to work as a fitting room attendant With the store’s ongoing support Marie has been able to overcome on the job challenges and in the atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement in KOHL’s, Marie has been empowered.
The power in being productive and valued has changed Marie’s life. Having a job has promoted a feeling of achievement for her. Previously, her primary goal had been to be gainfully employed, but with her disabilities she encountered many roadblocks to its achievement. Since becoming employed, Marie Terranova has gained the kind of self-confidence that impacts on to other areas in her life.
